The Wellwood Restaurant offers three different atmospheres featuring our full menu for your dining pleasure throughout.
The Wellwood's outdoor brick patio is a fantastic setting for good times with friends & family while enjoying a relaxing meal. This dining area is outfitted with teak wood furniture and overlooks the North East River. You can watch the boats roll by and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Historic Charlestown's Waterfront throughout your dining experience. During summer weekends you might even catch some live music in the evening! The
Outdoor Patio
provides a casual dining atmosphere with comfortable seating arrangements. You can even enjoy local hard-shell blue crabs by the dozen! Later in the evening on summer weekends you can dance the night away with live music on Saturdays, or better yet, "catch a star" on Friday evenings with our annual contest for the "Wellwood Idol".
The Clubroom provides a casual, family friendly dining atmosphere with comfortable seating arrangements. Enjoy watching your favorite sporting events on our 72” flat screen. In season, you can even enjoy local hard-shell blue crabs by the dozen!
The Formal dining rooms provide an elegant atmosphere within an intimate setting for you to dine & relax. This area of our restaurant hosts some of the following antiques donated to the Wellwood in its hey-day; a bust of George Washington, lithograph of Abraham Lincoln, a hand-carved eagle donated by President Theodore Roosevelt, antique tables & lamps just to name a few items. Dining tables covered with white tablecloths, candlelight & our fireplaces help to create a memorable evening. Special features throughout the year include wine dinners, special events with each holiday and our annual Candlelight Valentine's Day dinner.
RESERVATIONS
Reservations are not required but are requested for parties of 5 or more in both The River Shack and The Wellwood.
(We accept reservations for smaller parties as well.)
